Annie Féolde – chef-owner of the famous three Michelin starred Enoteca Pinchiorri in Florence, Italy- has been awarded MAM – Maestro d’Arte e Mestiere (Master of Art and Craft) in the Hospitality category at an award ceremony held in Milan yesterday.
The French born chef moved to Italy in her early 20s where she met her sommelier husband, Giorgio, and has been an ambassador for Italian food ever since. She was the first woman to earn three Michelin stars for her cooking at the 18th Century palazzo in the heart of Tuscany, and the MAM award is testament to decades of consistent hospitality at the highest level.
Speaking of her award Féolde commented, “It is an honor for me to receive this award today. Hospitality is one of the most important values in Enoteca. Our aim is to always focus on the customer and his/her needs to make him/her live a unique and unforgettable moment. This is a result that I have also obtained and above all with thanks to all the wonderful people who work with me every day in the kitchen and in the dining room. The Art of Hospitality for us means precisely this: a partnership of intent among all the team members, giving a personalized experience to our guests in every detail.”
MAM – Maestro d’Arte e Mestiere is a recognition promoted by the Cologni dei Mestieri d’Arte Foundation, in collaboration with ALMA, the International School of Italian Cuisine, who also shortlist the young chefs for S.Pellegrino Young Chef, and is awarded every two years. The goal is to “reward the excellence in the arts and the know-how, the passion and the human value of the Great Masters in different categories of artistic heritage, among which, of course, food and wine stands out.”
